Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, also known as Seyi Law, has called out the The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on the detention of Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a Nigerian crossdresser. The EFCC has previously verified Bobrisky’s re-arrest in Lagos.
The well-known transgender person claimed to have been hurt in a conflict with the immigration agents and posted about the incident on Instagram to update his followers. Bobrisky claimed that the EFCC was responsible for his detention.
He posted, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”

According to sources, his arrest resulted from his failure to reply to multiple commission invitations after he made complaints against the EFCC.
He was taken off a KLM flight to Amsterdam at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport and then arrested by immigration officers late Thursday evening as he tried to board a trip to London, UK.
Seyi criticised the EFCC in a post on X for permitting Bobrisky to board the aircraft before re-arresting him and asked whether the crossdresser had received a travel restriction from any court.
He said, “I don’t understand this Bobrisky’s case abeg. Did any court ask him not to travel? Why allow him to get on the plane and humiliate him like this?”
