A reckless motorcycle ride turned fatal in Abeokuta as a pedestrian lost her life following a horrific accident along Lafenwa Road on March 9, 2025.

The crash, which occurred at about 7:00 PM, involved a speeding TVS motorcycle (Reg. No. Ogun GBE 566 VC) ridden by 25-year-old Kabiru Sanni of Agbo Afoju, Sabo, Abeokuta.

The unidentified female victim was crossing the road when the motorcyclist, allegedly riding carelessly, struck her with devastating impact.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the woman thrown violently onto the pavement, bleeding profusely from a severe head injury.

The suspect, now in custody, faces intense interrogation as the Motor Traffic Division (MTD) deepens its investigation into the circumstances leading to the fatal crash.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been placed in the hospital morgue as authorities work to establish her identity and contact her family.
