A lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Dr Ayo Ojediran, has slumped and died in his office.
The incident occurred on Tuesday. Students of the school have mourned the demise of the 52-year-old lecturer.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, said the death of the lecturer was an unpalatable incident.
He described the deceased as a very nice and humble man to the core, who was always willing to help.
“May your soul rest in perfect peace Dr Ojediran Isaac Ayodele,” he said.

The Punch quoted the President, Faculty of Education Students Association of Nigeria, Victor Adesokan, as saying that he was with Ojediran the night before his death.
Adesokan said the deceased complained of headache, saying that the lecturer appeared very weak.
“On Monday night, he complained of headache and stress. We told him to rest. They (lecturers) have too much workload on them. The school needs to recruit more lecturers most especially that Faculty of Education.
“For example, a lecturer that is supposed to be a level adviser will now be doing the work of 6 to 7 lecturers,” he said.
