    The law firm of Duale, Ovia and Alex-Adedipe (DOA) has announced the speakers for its 2024 Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT) Business Law Breakfast Series.

    DOA said the TMT Business Law Breakfast Series, will feature a keynote speech on “Fostering Innovation and Investments through Enabling Policies, Viable Business & Economic Environment” as well as a fireside chat to be anchored by Global Business Report host, Rotus Oddiri.

    Also, DOA Managing Partner, Adeleke Alex-Adedipe, will give the opening remarks at the event. According to him, the TMT Business Law Breakfast Series, scheduled to be held on May 2, 2024, at Ebony Life Place, Victoria Hall, Lagos, will feature two-panel sessions.

    The first session, which is on “Unlocking Investments: Policies, Reforms and Regulations” will be moderated by DOA partner, Adeniyi Duale, while the panelists are Commissioner for Science, Innovation and Technology, Lagos State, Olatubosun Alake; founder and Managing Partner, Aruwa Capital Management, Adesuwa Okunbo-Rhodes; co-founder and MD, CardinalStone Capital Advisers, Femi Ogunjimi; co-founder, Voltron Capital, BlueChip Technologies Limited, Olumide Soyombo and founder and Group CEO, Moniepoint, Tosin Eniolorunda.

    Similarly, the second session on “Show Me the Money” will be moderated by founder and managing partner, The Chrysalis Company, Nichole Yembra, while the panelists are the founding partner, Ventures Platform, Kola Aina; co-founder, Bamboo, Yanmo Omorogbe; Managing Partner, Oui Capital, Olu Oyinsan; CEO, Reliance Health, Dr Femi Kuti and Partner, Breega, Tosin Faniro-Dada.

    The event, with the theme, ‘Nigerian Tech Ecosystem: Policies, Investments and Global Trade’, will catalyse collaboration, innovation and growth in the tech sector. Alex-Adedipe, said the event is coming against the backdrop of the enormous growth recorded in the Nigerian tech space in recent years.

    “The event will explore the key drivers of this growth, including policies, investments, global trade and discuss strategies to further enhance the ecosystem’s development,” he said.

    He further said the event is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss and analyse the current state of the Nigerian tech ecosystem; explore the policies, reforms and global trade influencing the future of the tech ecosystem.

    He noted that it will also identify key challenges and opportunities in unlocking investments and driving growth in the Nigerian tech sector, showcase best practices, success stories, innovations and regulations influencing fundraising.

    According to him, the event targets government officials, policymakers, venture capitalists, investors, financial institutions, tech entrepreneurs, startups, innovators, corporate organisations, industry leaders and tech enthusiasts.
