Nwabali also named John Obi Mikel, the former Chelsea midfielder, recognized for his composure and playmaking ability. Mikel’s contributions were vital to Chelsea’s success, and his achievements have earned him respect from fans and fellow players alike.
Adding to the list is Vincent Enyeama, widely regarded as Nigeria’s best goalkeeper. His outstanding performances for Lille and the Super Eagles, along with his shot-stopping prowess, have made him a household name in Nigerian football.
Finally, Nwabali included Victor Osimhen, the current Super Eagles striker and reigning CAF Footballer of the Year. Despite his young age, Osimhen’s impact has been immense, with his performances playing a critical role in Nigeria’s run to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. His consistent displays have quickly made him a national favorite and a standout in Nigerian football.
For Nwabali, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations also marked a significant milestone, as he impressed in his debut for the Super Eagles. Although he narrowly missed the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award, which went to South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Nwabali’s performances underscored his potential and highlighted the rising talent within Nigerian football.
