The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has warned a factional leader of the party, Edozie Njoku, to desist from acting as the national chairman of the party or risk going to jail.
The warning followed a statement credited to Njoku titled, ‘APGA issues strong warning to Governor Soludo over plans to convene illegal stakeholders meeting’.
A report credited to Njoku, which surfaced at the weekend, warned the Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, over plans to convene an “illegal stakeholders meeting”.
But reacting to the development in a statement on Monday, Obigwe said Njoku was not in any position to warn Soludo or to threaten APGA candidates contesting the forthcoming 2023 general election.
He insisted that Soludo was the current leader of APGA and a “meddlesome interloper” like Njoku was not in the position to tell him what to do and what not to do.
The statement titled, ‘Re: APGA issues strong warning to Governor Soludo over plans to convene illegal stakeholders meeting’, was made available to journalists in Awka.
It read, “My reaction to the above referred news report is that the impostor Edozie Njoku that came out from Kuje Prison few days ago is a joker.
“Njoku is not in any position to warn Soludo or to threaten APGA candidates contesting the forthcoming 2023 general election.
“What Njoku is enjoying for now is temporal freedom because when judgment is finally delivered in the case instituted against him by the authentic leadership of APGA he will finally be nailed for impersonating the office of Victor Oye that is the authentic national Chairman of APGA.
“Njoku can be referred to as a man that is dancing naked on the market square.
“I predicted that he will not get away with his crime of impersonation of the office of APGA National Chairman and I am confident that the final outcome of his case in court will prove me right.
“It is said that the fly that refuses to hear follows the corpse to the grave. Njoku is only executing a hatchet job for his sponsors but shame will always be their portion.
“Soludo is the leader of APGA as at today and a meddlesome interloper like Njoku is not in the position to tell him what to do and what not to do.
“What Njoku is doing is that he is entertaining Nigerians with his macabre dance of shame.
“Nigerians and INEC as electoral umpire know that Chief Victor Oye is the indefatigable national Chairman of APGA and they accord him his well deserved recognition as the party National Chairman.
“Njoku is a hungry fool at forty that is doing the evil bidding of Abuja politicians.
“APGA faithfuls are loyal to Soludo as the leader of the party that is doing his best to take the party to greater heights.
“Njoku is just making an empty noise because as a matter of fact he cannot do more than a dead rat.
“The general public should ignore the senseless ranting of the impostor Edozie Njoku.”
