    Super Eagles’ series of poor performances in recent times has seen the team dropped drastically in the latest FIFA ranking released this morning.

    From being number 30 in past month’s

    ranking, the Super Eagles have dropped eight places to number 38 in the world and consequently to number 5 in Africa from it previous number 3.

    Since after the African Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles have been inspiring, losing two and drawing two out of the matches it has played, including two World Cup matches against South Africa and Benin Republic as well as two friendly matches under the resigned coach Finidi George.

    As expected, Morocco remains Africa’s best on the ranking, moving a step forward from 13th position to 12th in the world.

    Following Morocco is still Senegal who dropped from 17th to 18th while Egypt picked Nigeria’s former third position,moving from 37th to 36th on the ladder

    On fourth position is Africa champion, Cote d’Ivoire, moving from 38th to 37th while Nigeria, dropped drastically from 30th possible in April ranking to 38th in the latest ranking.

    Making up Africa’s Top 10 are, Tunisia who remain on previous 41 placement, Algeria dropping from 43 to 44 position, Cameroon moved from 51 to 49, a leap three steps, Mali going down from 44th to 50th while South Africa despite its impressive showing in the World Cup qualifiers remains on 10th position in Africa and 59th in the world.
