American rapper Curtis James Jackson III, nicknamed 50 Cent, has revealed his current fave song.
The hip-hop icon said in a viral interview video on Tuesday that his current fave song is ‘Me & U’ by Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems.
“My current song on repeat is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” he said.
‘Me & U’ is the lead song from Tems’ critically praised debut studio album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
The song stirred controversy as it received the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 BET Awards.
Critics stated that a secular artist’s song should not have won the category against gospel stalwarts such as Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music.
