    Nigerian music star, Openiyi Temilade, professionally known as Tems, has scored a new career achievement as she has been nominated for a Golden Globes award.

    The Essence crooner has bagged a nomination for the 2023 Golden Globes in the Best Original Score in a Motion Picture category.

    Tems was nominated alongside superstar, Rihanna; composer, Ludwig Göransson and movie director, Ryan Coogler, for their collaboration on the song, “Lift Me Up”, off Marvel’s 2022 blockbuster movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”

    Sharing the news via Twitter on Monday, Marvel Studios congratulated the collaborators for the prestigious nomination.

    “Congratulations to Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson for their Golden Globe Nomination for Best Original Song! #WakandaForever #GoldenGlobes,” the tweet read.

    An excited Tems also reacted to the news by expressing her joy over the recognition, “My God!! this one is too much,” she wrote.

    Tems is without a doubt one of the most prominent Nigerian stars for the year 2022.

    From prestigious nominations and awards to chart-topping hits, the songstress continues to solidify her spot on the international music scene.
