    On Thursday, the Police in Ibadan brought three individuals to court for allegedly breaking into a house and stealing valuables. The suspects, Folake Jimoh, Hashiru Yerima, and Hassan Alidu, are facing charges of conspiracy, housebreaking, and theft. Their residential addresses were not provided in court documents.

    The defendants appeared before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, where they all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

    Inspector Oladejo Balogun, the prosecutor, told the court that the crimes occurred on September 18 at around 5:30 p.m. in the Ojoo area of Ibadan. According to Balogun, Folake Jimoh allegedly broke into the home of Mr. Abiodun Akinbiyi and stole valuable items worth ₦2,067,000. The stolen goods included laptops, an electric iron, hot plates, and wristwatches.

    Inspector Balogun further alleged that Hashiru Yerima and Hassan Alidu knowingly received the stolen items. The prosecutor stated that their actions violated Sections 517 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

    Magistrate Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair granted the accused persons bail, setting the amount at ₦1 million for each defendant, with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned until November 12 for further hearing.
