Mr Chukwuemeka Woke, a loyalist of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT has been appointed the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority.
Woke served as Chief of Staff at Government House, Port Harcourt under Wike as the governor of Rivers State.
He also served as the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers and was commissioner for Special Duties under Wike’s successor, Siminalayi Fubara.

However, unlike the other commissioners, he did not return to Fubara’s cabinet after the peace deal brokered by the President between the Governor and Wike.
His new appointment was announced in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Publicity, on Thursday in Abuja.
Ngelale said that the appointee is a seasoned engineer and politician.
He said that the president expected the new appointee to discharge his duties with integrity and in conformity with the highest standards of transparency.
Ngelale added that Tinubu directed Woke to harness and develop the water resource potential of the area as well as ensure that the Authority becomes a channel for holistic and integrated industrial, agricultural, and community development.(NAN)
