It was not a world cup final, yet the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom was filled to capacity as the APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu visited on Monday.

This is a South South State and home of the PDP, which has Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate and Peter Obi’s supporters laying claim to the area, but it seems the APC has made incursion into the area. The crowd was massive and bettered the campaign of Obi in the area recently.

It was carnival-like campaign, the state capital, Uyo was shutdown as Tinubu visited, with thousands of supporters trooping to the streets to welcome Tinubu.

Shout of Jagaban, Asiwaju rent the air. The huge crowd was more electrified when Tinubu made a grand entry into the stadium for the mega rally.

At the rally were the APC’s vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima; APC’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, party chieftains, among others.
