In a grand farewell, Nigeria’s most influential figures will converge to honour the late President-General of Ọhanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, South East governors, and renowned Yoruba leader Ayo Adebanjo are among the dignitaries confirmed to attend the November 1 burial at Iwuanyanwu’s country home in Attah, Imo State.
Senator Ben Obi, head of the burial planning committee, revealed that the South East Governors’ Forum has reaffirmed their commitment to giving Iwuanyanwu a befitting sendoff .
The diaspora community and national stakeholders are also organizing tribute activities to celebrate the life of this visionary leader.
Iwuanyanwu’s remarkable legacy has touched countless lives, fostering nation-building, group cohesion, and equity.
