Troost- Ekong celebrates CAF’s sanctions on Libya

Super Eagles Captain William-Troost Ekong is excited over the punishment meted out to Libya by the Confederation of African Football for maltreating the Nigerian national football team.
CAF in a ruling made known on Saturday had awarded points and three goals to the Nigerian teams in the AFCON 2025 qualifying series.
The African football ruling body also fined Libya 50,000 USD which much be paid within 60 days.

Taking to his X handle, Troost Ekong in reaction to the ruling wrote: “JUSTICE: CAF awards three points and three goals to Nigeria. Libya fined $50,000.
“Plane was diverted 300km from scheduled airport even when the pilot told them he was low on fuel.
“One step closer to our target AFCON 2025.”
