Two suspects have been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly killing a man, simply identified as Monday over alleged theft of cable.

Lagos Police command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the two suspects over the murder of alleged cable thief in Lagos.

Hundeyin said that Alausa Police Division received information from a concerned member of the public about the case on Sunday at about 4:00 p.m.

He said the suspect was strangled after he was beaten to stupor.

“The informant said that at about 3:00 a.m. of same date, he received a call from one of his brothers that one Monday has been lynched to death by some group of boys,” Hundeyin said.
