Unsung heroes: Indomie to honour Nigeria’s youngest bravery icons in nationwide live broadcast

Indomie Instant Noodles is set to celebrate Nigeria’s young heroes in a grand ceremony, broadcast live across multiple TV networks on October 13.
The annual Indomie Heroes Award, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Dufil Prima Foods, will recognize and reward children who have shown exceptional acts of bravery, innovation, and heroism.
This year’s edition, themed “Unsung Heroes,” focuses on children aged 15 and below whose remarkable courage and selflessness have positively impacted their communities.
The ceremony will spotlight inspiring, untold stories from different parts of Nigeria, showcasing the exceptional bravery of children who have made significant contributions.
For the first time, these extraordinary acts will be celebrated in a nationwide live broadcast, allowing viewers across the country to witness the heartwarming stories of these young heroes.
The live event, scheduled for October 13, 2024, will be aired on major TV networks: Africa Magic Family (7:30-8:30 PM), AIT (6-7 PM), NTA (5-6 PM), Arise TV (5-6 PM), and ONTV (5-6 PM). Nigerians are invited to tune in and share in the inspiring narratives of courage and resilience.
Temitope Asiwaju, Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods Limited, highlighted that this year’s awards will be presented in three categories: Social Bravery, Intellectual Bravery, and Physical Bravery.

“The Social Bravery Award honors children tackling critical issues such as child marriage, illiteracy, and environmental concerns,” said Asiwaju.
“The Intellectual Bravery Award recognizes innovative problem-solving with limited resources, while the Physical Bravery Award celebrates children who risk personal safety to save lives or prevent harm in their communities. The live broadcast will bring these courageous stories to the forefront, offering the entire nation the opportunity to be inspired by their strength and determination.”
Over the past 15 years, the Indomie Heroes Award has honoured young Nigerians whose extraordinary actions often go unrecognized. Through this initiative, Dufil Prima Foods remains committed to promoting timeless values such as courage, resilience, and innovation, ensuring that these young heroes receive the recognition they deserve.
“This year’s 16th edition promises to deliver the same emotional and life-changing stories that have moved the nation in previous years,” Asiwaju added.
