LAGOS – Users of the busy Sagamu – Ijebu ode Expressway will soon heave a sigh of relief from the daily harrowing motoring experience due to deplorable portions of the highway.
This is because a comprehensive palliative of the one hundred and twenty kilometers road will begin from October 14, 2024 from the interchange.

Mr David Umahi, Minister of Works, who announced this when he inspected the road alongside Governor Dapo Abiodun of OgunState, promised that the highway would be fully reopened by the middle of December for the comfort of travellers for the yuletide.
Mr Umahi, explained that the palliative which will include streetlights would be carried out by a reputable construction company to be supervised by a team of officials of the Ministries of Works, Transportation and Environment.
Responding, Governor Abiodun appreciated President Bola Tinubu for keeping his promise of getting the Minister of Works to intervene not more than a week after, he earlier inspected the Interchange to Sagamu town section following distress calls by motorists who spent an average of four hours on that section of the road
