NerdzFactory Foundation, in collaboration with Access, has equipped 500 women with digital skills to launch, grow and monetise their businesses in today’s digital economy
This was disclosed at the conclusion of the Women Digital Entrepreneurship Programme (WDEP) 5.0.
Director of NerdzFactory Foundation, Ade Olowojoba, said: “The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Programme continues to be a flagship initiative in our efforts to foster social innovation and human capital development. By empowering 500 women in this edition, we are not only helping them thrive in the digital economy but also contributing to broader economic growth and community resilience.”
Ade noted that programme, an initiative of Access, implemented by NerdzFactory Foundation, underscored both organisations’ commitment to creating inclusive growth opportunities and empowering women to become key players in the digital landscape.
He revealed that the programme represents a significant step forward in empowering women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
Since its inception, the WDEP has trained over 2,500 women, fostering a new generation of digitally-savvy entrepreneurs.
The initiative is a cornerstone of Access’ broader commitment to financial inclusion and NerdzFactory Foundation’s mission to drive social innovation and human capital development.
“The WDEP is designed to address the digital gender gap by providing women with the tools they need to succeed in the digital marketplace.
“Participants received training in areas such as digital business strategies, social media marketing, online business management, business pitching, and bookkeeping. These skills are critical for women seeking to digitise their business processes and secure long-term market relevance,” he stated.
