As political parties began flag-off of governorship campaign in Ondo State, the National Chairman of New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP), Dr. Ajuri Ahmed, has declared that the party is ready for coalition with other political parties to prosecute the 2027 general elections..
He stated this on Wednesday at the flag-off of the campaign of the party in preparation for the November 16 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
Unveiling Gbenga Edema, the candidate of the party to the people of Ondo State, Dr. Ajuri called on the people of the state to vote for the NNPP candidate, who he said has the experience to turn around the fortune of the state.
He, however, noted that if such coalition does not work, NNPP would be able to stand alone in the election.
According to him, “I believe there’s plan for all other political parties to unite together ahead the 2027 election. NNPP is part of the plans if at all it materialized, the party’s door is opened for any coalition ahead of the 2027 election.
“And if it doesn’t work, our party is capable to stand on its own.
There is no political feud in NNPP, not crisis between the political gladiators in Kano State as all of them are united with one big love in the state.

“Kano State is governed as one of the best states in the federation and before 2027, you would see the dividends of the democracy in the state.”
Urging the people of Ondo State to vote for NNPP on November 16, the NNPP National Chairman sid: “If you want us to be come out of this problems of hunger, poor healthcare and high school fees, let us vote NNPP.”
The governorship candidate the party, Gbenga Edema, a barrister at Law and a former member of the state House of Assembly, reeled out his 7-point manifesto before the crowd at Akure Town Hall premises.
He explained that the 2 percent of every contract awarded by the state government is enough to kick start free education from primary to tertiary institution in the state.
The former chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(OSOPADEC) promised to declare free education in the state, adding that his administration would establish Education Trust Fund in the state.
He assured the people of the state that he would provide food healthcare programme for the people.
Edema also inform the people of the state that he explore the agricultural chains in the state to tackle food insecurity in the state, promising to reengineer the Amotekun Corps to protect farmers and the fans.
He promised to fill the gap in the infrastructure deficit to turn around the state economy.
