    Wizkid Celebrates 13 Years Since Release Of First Album, Teases New One

    Wizkid made the announcement on his “X” account, appreciating his growth since then. He urged his fans to expect his latest ‘Legendary’ album, which according to him, is titled Morayo.

    “13 years since superstar! First album! Thankful for all God’s blessings. Healthy family! Blessed life! Love God,” he wrote.

    Wizkid’s debut album, Superstar, was released in 2011 and marked a turning point for Nigerian music. The album, released by Empire Mates Entertainment, was a culmination of afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and R&B influences.

    Wizkid featured and had collaborations with superstars like Banky W, and other rising stars like Skales as of then. Singles like Holla at Your Boy became instant hits, announcing him into the Nigerian afrobeats scene.

    He has gone on to release five studio albums: Superstar in 2011, Ayo in 2014, Sounds from the Other Side in 2017, Made in Lagos in 2020 and More Love Less Ego in 2022. He has also announced to fans his latest yet-to-be-released album, “Morayo”
