The group added, “However, it has come to our attention that certain impostors are parading themselves as representatives of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter.

“These individuals, after visiting the Commissioner for Youth, Lagos State, are attempting to disrupt the credibility and structure of our esteemed association by falsely claiming another election and inauguration.

“We would like to make it unequivocally clear based on the report submitted by the Lagos State Chapter Electoral Committee and verified by the National Returning Officer, the election for the Lagos Chapter has been concluded, and the new leadership has been duly sworn in.”

Furthermore, the YAN headquarters warned, “Any attempt by unauthorized persons or groups to hold another election or inauguration should be disregarded as a fraudulent act aimed at tarnishing the reputation of our association.”

It called on all security agencies and the general public to take note of these facts and ensure that these impostors do not succeed in misleading anyone, saying the Youth Assembly of Nigeria remains committed to upholding the values of democracy, transparency, and youth empowerment across all states.”

The group congratulated the Lagos State Chapter and look forward to witnessing their impactful contributions to the development of youth leadership in Nigeria.
