The Joint Academic Union of Yobe State Tertiary Institutions (JASU) has suspended the one-week warning strike embarked upon following Governor Mai Mala Buni’s approval of their demands for implementation.

Shortly after meeting with the Head of Yobe State Civil Service, the President of the union, Dr. Lawan Modu, told our Correspondent that the one-week warning strike had been suspended with immediate effect.

“We had a one-day strike today; it is a long story. We gave the 2-week ultimatum to the government, thereafter we gave an additional one week but our demand was not met, and no result that is why we embarked on a warning strike”
