The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Tuesday evening, arrived at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, from his working visits to Lagos, Katsina, Kano and Jigawa states.

The Leonardo AW139 helicopter conveying Buhari from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport arrived at Aso Rock Villa a few minutes after 7:00 pm.

Exactly one week ago, the President departed Lagos, where he inaugurated the Blue Rail Project and for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the second edition of the Dakar International Conference on Agriculture.

Although he returned to the country on Wednesday, Buhari proceeded to Katsina for a two-day working visit.

While there, he inaugurated at least seven infrastructural projects executed by the Katsina State government.

At his country home in Daura on Sunday, the President received the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, where he approved the apex bank’s request to extend the deadline for the Naira notes swap from January 31 to February 10, 2023.

On Monday, he proceeded to Kano State for a one-day working visit where he commissioned the Dala Inland Dry Port and a 10MW solar facility.

However, the President’s visit did not go well with some angry youths who hauled stones at his advance convoy.

The PUNCH reports that despite heavy security presence mounted on the routes leading to Ahmadu Bello way, where the President was to launch a Galaxy Backbone Limited project, angry youths wielding sticks and stones of various sizes reportedly attacked Buhari’s convoy and helicopter as it hovered above them.

Earlier on Tuesday, Buhari visited Jigawa State where he inaugurated the 5,700 hectares Hadejia Valley Irrigation Scheme in Auyo Local Government Area.

He also commissioned the Birnin Kudu Specialist Hospital, Malam Alu Integrated Agro-Allied Farm, Birnin Kudu and the dualized Unity-Pentagon-Fanisau Road.

The President is expected to preside over Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting after being absent from two in a row.
