The Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Benin City, Edo State, Dr. Philip Ugbodaga, has said that the Hospital would impact the lives of Nigerians, particularly those from the sout-south geopolitical zone, the immediate catchment area of the Hospital”.

Ugbodaga who stated this on Monday at the resumption of duty, promised quality service to the people once fully operational.

He expressed satisfaction with the establishment of the Hospital in the south-south geopolitical zone, thereby bringing the zone at par with other zones with similar specialist hospitals.

According to him, “When fully operational, I am very hopeful that the Hospital will guarantee access to specialist quality healthcare services by the good people of Edo State, the contiguous states and other members of the Nigerian public and put a seal of happiness on the lives of many Nigerians, particularly those from the South South geopolitical zone who constitute the immediate catchment area of the hospital.”

The Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon assured that President Tinubu places a very high premium in the well-being of all Nigerians through collaborative efforts among all health professionals to ensure that the poor health indices in Nigeria are reversed.
