The much awaited announcement for the new Super Eagles coach will be made next week, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has told SportingSun/Daily Sunsports.
Alhaji Gusau disclosed in an interview in Lagos at the unveiling of the rebranded President Federation Cup (formerly Federation Cup) that the NFF Technical Committee has made its recommendation with announcement expected early next week.
The NFF president added that Nigerians will know who the next Super Eagles coach is after the Federation’s board ratification.
Meanwhile, a source close to the Federation told SportingSun/Daily Sunsports that the committee has recommended former Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, United States based USA-under 20 coach, Michael Nsien and Finidi George in that order.
However, it was gathered that the delay in announcing the pick of the NFF for the job was largely due to the Federation’s president preference for a foreign coach but that has not been officially verified.
